Government should pay for childcare
Benefits
– Childcare (noun)
Meaning: The care of children, especially by a crèche, nursery, or childminder while
parents are working.
Vietnamese: sự chăm sóc nuôi dạy trẻ
Example: Some people believe that both government and family should be liable for the
childcare.
– Nurture (verb)
Meaning: Care for and protect (someone or something) while they are growing.
Vietnamese: Nuôi dưỡng
– Subsidize (verb)
Meaning: Support (an organization or activity) financially.
Vietnamese: hỗ trợ tài chính
Example: If government subsidizes families to nurture their children, it will encourage
more couples to have children.
– Implement (verb)
Meaning: Put (a decision, plan, agreement, etc.) into effect
Vietnamese: Thực thi
– Birth rate (noun)
Meaning: The number of live births per thousand of population per year
Vietnamese: Tỷ lệ sinh
– Aging population (noun phrase)
Meaning: The inhabitants becoming older
Vietnamese: Già hóa dân số
Example: This policy will be greatly worth implementing in countries where the birth
rate is dangerously low or which have aging population as Japan or Korea.
Drawbacks
– Stay-at-home-mom/dad (noun phrase)
Meaning: Denoting a parent who is engaged in the full-time care of their child or children
and does not go out to work.
Vietnamese: Mẹ/Bố ở nhà làm nội trợ
Example: Some children are kept at home instead of being sent to nursery because one of
their parents is stay-at-home-mom or dad. As a consequence, children will not develop
the social skills because they will not be mixing up with the other children of their age
from different background.

– Upbringing (noun)
Meaning: The treatment and instruction received by a child from its parents throughout
its childhood.
Vietnamese: Sự nuôi nấng
– Parenting (noun)
Meaning: The activity of bringing up a child as a parent
Vietnamese: sự nuôi nấng dạy dỗ của bố mẹ
Example: Raising up children by themselves, the family members will be more
responsible for their kids’ upbringing and parenting.
– National budget (noun)
Meaning: The amount of money available of government
Vietnamese: tiền nhà nước
Example: Each household should share the financial burden on the government by paying
for their own childcare. Therefore, national budget can be better invested for more
urgent issues like poverty elimination, public service improvement, etc.
– Child benefit (noun phrase)
Meaning: Regular payment by the state to the parents of a child up to a certain age.
Vietnamese: phúc lợi cho trẻ
Example: The family who have children can claim for their child benefits from the
government.
Should parents take childcare courses?
– Nursing children (noun phrase)
Meaning: The action of taking care of children.
Vietnamese: việc nuôi dưỡng trẻ
Example: It has to be admitted that children training courses are helpful to some extent
to nursing children.
– Senior (noun)
Meaning: A person who is a specified number of years older than someone else.
Example: người cao tuổi
Example: The parents totally can learn the childcare lessons from the elders as their
parents. The seniors can give them the valuable experience in bringing up and parenting
the kids.
– Prenatal lesson (noun phrase)
Meaning: The lesson before birth
Vietnamese: lớp học tiền sản
Example: The courses almost are so expensive that not many families can afford. For
example, prenatal lessons cost a huge amount of money, so the families are not willing
to go to these classes.

Causes
– Divorce (noun)
Meaning: A legal decree dissolving a marriage
Vietnamese: ly hôn
– Honest communication (noun phrase)
Meaning: Free of deceit; truthful and sincere talk
Vietnamese: giao tiếp trung thực
– Resentment (noun)
Meaning: Bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly.
Vietnamese: Sự giận dữ
– Frustration (noun)
Meaning: The feeling of being upset or annoyed as a result of being unable to change or
achieve something.

Example: Communication is crucial in marriage and lack of honest
communication quickly leads to resentment and frustration for both, impacting all
aspects of a marriage.

Meaning: Lack of satisfaction.

Meaning: A husband or wife, considered in relation to their partner.

Example: The dissatisfaction between the spouses is a reason leading to family divorce.
– Strain (verb)
Meaning: To force

– Breaking point (compound noun)
Meaning: The moment of greatest strain at which someone or something gives way.

Example: Everything from different spending habits and financial goals to one spouse
making considerably more money than the other, causing a power struggle can strain a
marriage to the breaking point.

Meaning: To perform
Vietnamese: Thể hiện
Example: Children whose parents have divorced are increasingly the victims of abuse.
They exhibit more health, behavioral, and emotional problems, are involved more
frequently in and drug abuse, and have higher rates of suicide.
– Repeat a grade (phrasal verb)
Meaning: Learn a grade many times
Vietnamese: lưu ban
– Drop-out (phrasal verb)
Meaning: To quit school
Vietnamese: bỏ học
Example: Children coming from a broken family are also more likely to repeat a
grade and to have higher drop-out rates and lower rates of college graduation.
– Undermine (verb)
Meaning: To destroy
Vietnamese: phá hủy
Example: The broken families undermine the conventional family structures, which
creates a bad image in terms of family life in the society.
Care for old people

– Elderly people (noun phrase)
Meaning: Old or ageing people
Vietnamese: người già
– Assist (verb)
Meaning: To support
Vietnamese: hỗ trợ
– Public residential home (noun phrase)
Meaning: An institution providing residential accommodation, especially one which
provides health and social care for people who are unable to live independently.
Vietnamese: nhà ở xã hội
Example: The public residential homes with the subsidy of government provide the
elders the essential services, which can assist both the elderly and their offspring.
– Nursing home (compound noun)
Meaning: A small private institution providing residential accommodation with
healthcare, especially for elderly people.
