I. AIMS/OBJECTIVES OF THE LESSON
1. Language focus:
To develop speaking skills on how to make small conversation
To provide students with some new more words and phrases.
2. Skills: To help Ss develop their speaking skills
3. Attitudes: To encourage Ss work in pairs and groups
II. PREPARATION
1. Teacher: - Teaching aids: Lesson plan, text book
- Teaching method: Communicative language teaching
2. Students: Read Unit 11 – speaking at home
III. PROCEDURE
1. Class organization (1 minute)
2. Check – up (5 minutes)
- Some students read and write down new words and phrases
- Some students translate the reading passage into Vietnamese
3. New lesson (35 minutes)

Task 1
- Instructs Ss to answer the question
- Asks some pairs of Ss to present
2. Task 2
- Work in pairs, make a similar conversation
+ I like reading many kinds of books: short and funny
stories, picture stories, detective stories, thrillers, novel,
science fiction books, love/romance stories.
+ I read these books carefully and slowly to get the detail
+ At first, I look at the first few pages of the book. If it’s
a good book, then I read it carefully and slowly.
+ I only taste these books. I read few pages quickly
+ I often read books before going to bed, in my free time,
during the break at school, on the way home
