1. Before you read
- Read out the words and phrases then check their
meanings
- Work in pairs, look at the pictures, ask and
answer the questions
+ All these inserts and animals can be found in
Vietnam
+ Some of them such as rhinoceros, tortoise,
leopard, elephant are in danger of becoming
extinction.
- Pay attention to new words and phrases
Before you read
- Instructs Ss to read the words and phrases in
the glossary
- Introduces some new words and phrases
2. While you read
- Listen to the tape and read the passage for the
first time, pick out new words and phrases
Task 1
- Work individually skim the passage, finish task 1
then compare the answer with their partners:
1. C 2. D 3. A 4. B
- Plays the tape, asks Ss to listen to the tape
while reading
- Asks Ss to read out the words
- Calls some of the Ss to do task 1
4. Consolidation (3 minutes) - Words and phrases
5. Homework (1 minute) - Words and phrases
- Translate the passage into Vietnamese
- Summarize the passage
