- Introduces the text and asks Ss to listen to the
tape twice to answer the questions:
a) How many wonders of the world are there in
the text?
b) What are they?
- Gets feedback from Ss.

II. While-reading:
Act.1: Multiple choice (9’)
- Divides the class into five or six groups. Asks
them to read the text again within 3 minutes and
complete the sentences by doing multiple
choice exercise on page 134.
- Guides Ss to play the game: Each group has
four cards written A, B, C or D. Teacher shows
the sentences on the screen, within 10 seconds
Ss discuss and raise their answer. With each
correct answer, the group will have 10 marks.
After 4 questions, the group having more marks
will be the winner.
- Asks Ss to explain their answer.
- Comments and corrects.
Act.2: Complete the table (6’)
- Asks Ss to read the text again and complete
the table.
- Calls on some Ss go to the board and write the
answer on the screen.
- Gets comments from Ss.
- Gives correct answer.
- Give comments and correct.
- Listen to the tape while reading
the text, then answer the questions
individually.
- Give out their answer.
- Listen to teacher.
