- distinguish sounds /w/ - /j/
- know how to use gerund and present participle, perfect gerund and perfect
participles
2. Skills: Integrated skills
3. Attitudes: Ss are encouraged to revise the lesson, work individually to
finish the exercises
II. PREPARATION

- Teaching method: Communicative language teaching
2. Students: - Read Unit 4 – language focus at home
III. PROCEDURE:
1. Class organization (1 minute)
2. Check – up (5 minutes) - Some Ss go to the board, read out their letter
3. New lesson (35 minutes)

1. Pronunciation
- Shows how to pronounce three sounds
- Reads aloud the words as a model
- Calls some students to read the words
- Listen and repeat
2. Grammar
Exercise 1
- Asks Ss to complete the sentences with an
appropriate gerund of the verbs in the box.
- Recall some structures using gerund
- Work individually, do the task then exchange
their answer
