I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Aims: - At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Use “can/could ...; certainly, of course...” to ask for favors, offer
assistance and practise responding.
- Listen to understand a children/s song

responding.
3. Skills: Speaking, listening & writing
II. PREPARATION:
1. Teacher: Lesson plan, posters, textbook, cassete, CD.
2. Students:
- Prepare: Speak and Listen - P.55-56
+ Strutures to ask for and respond to favors
+ Structures to offer and respond to assistance
III. PROCEDURES:
1. Checking: Call on one student to talk about their personal
information, using the information in their Form
Ex: My name is... I live in ...

I. PRE-SPEAKING:
Presentation dialogues
- Introduces the dialogues on page 55 and
56.
- Calls on some pairs to reading the
dialogues aloud.
- Elicits the structures to ask for and
respond to favors, offer and respond to
assistance
- Consolidates the knowledge.
Form: * To ask for favors:
- Can/could you help me, please?
- Could you do me a favor?
- I need a favor.
- Answer the questions.
- Listen to teacher.
- Practice in pairs.
- Say out the structures.
- Listen and write down.
