I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Aims:- At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Talk about sending a letter or parcel by airmail or surface mail at
the post office.
- Listen and understand the advertisements and know the
informatiom about Na.
2. Knowledge :
* Vocabulary: parcel (n), airmail (n), surface mail (n), to weigh, weight
(n)
3. Skills: Speaking & Listening
II. PREPARATION:
1. Teacher: lesson plan, cassette, tape.
2. Students: Making a dialogue at the post office.
III. PROCEDURES:
1. Warmer: (4’) Slap the board
(Ss will play this game into two teams, after the game, teacher checks the
meaning and pronunciation again)
2. New lesson:

- Hold a letter and asks: What is this/

- Introduces the lesson.
I. PRE-SPEAKING:
1. Vocabulary (7’)
+ Parcel (n) (Realia)
+ Airmail (n) (Picture + situation)
+ Surface mail (n) (Picture + situation)
+ To weigh (Picture) -> weight (n)
- Elicit first and says out the words
- Write and check.
- Use Matching to check vocab.
2. Presentation dialogue (7’)
* Model:
- Answer T/s questions individually
- Try out & repeat chorally- individually
- Give the meaning, stress.
- Read them and then match them with
the Vietnamese meaning.

- Elicit the language from Ss and
provides a cue dialogue.
- Make the model with a student and asks
Ss to practise in pairs .
II. WHILE-SPEAKING

Clerk: Do you want to send it airmail or

- Make the model with the first dialogue
(sticks cards on the poster).
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to practise
speaking through the cues.
- Go round to help Ss.
- Ask Ss to make conversations.
- Correct if necessary.
III. POST-SPEAKING: (12’)
Listen and fill in the advertisements
(P.66)
- Hang on the poster and explains the
