I. OBJECTIVES:

the appearing origins of the Christmas specials.
- Standard: Read and fill in the table and answer the questions
- Higher: Write a mindmap about the Christmas

II. PREPARATION:
1. Teacher: Lesson plan, text book, cassette, tape, posters, pictures.

(v); throughout (prep); description (n); perform (v); poem (n); base (v) +
on sth
+ Revise Past simple tense
III. PPROCEDURE:
1. Warm up: (4’)
Ask Ss to work in groups and list important festival in the world.

I. Pre-reading: (10’)
1. Vocabulary:
- Elicit the words first, says out then instruct Ss to
read the words.
- Write and check the words.

- Try to give them out and
repeat chorally- individually.

- Ask Ss to listen to the text and answer the
question: How many specials are there in
Christmas?
- Ask them to practice reading the text.
- Call on some Ss to read the text.
II. While-reading: (18’)
1. Complete the table:
- Asks Ss to read the text again and complete the
table.
- Collect some posters and correct before class.

- Listen to the tape and answer
the question.

- Practice before class.
- Work in groups, read the text
again and complete the table on
