I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to:
+ Speak about the inventions using passive forms.
+ Listen about paper making.
2. Knowledge:

ray (n), loudspeaker (n), helicopter (n), laser (n), optical fiber (n), pulp
(n), vat (n), roll (n), convey (n).
+ Structures: Passive forms.
+ Pronunciation:
3. Skills: Speaking, Listening and writing.
II. PREPARATION:
1. Teacher: Lesson plan, text book, cassette, tape, pictures, projector.
2. Students:
+ Vocabulary: facimile (n), reinforced concrete (n), microphone (n), X-
ray (n), loudspeaker (n), helicopter (n), laser (n), optical fiber (n), pulp
(n), vat (n), roll (n), convey (n).
+ Structures: Passive forms.

1. Pre - speaking:
a. Vocabulary: (7’)
- Elicit the words first, says out then instruct Ss to read
the words.

b. Model sentences:
- Give out model sentences and guides Ss to do the task.
- Try to give them out
and repeat chorally-
individually.
- Copy down and give the
meaning, stress.
- Match the words with
their meaning.
- Listen and write down.

2. While - speaking:
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer questions to
fill in the missing information in the tables.
- Call on some pairs to practice before class.
- Get comments and correct.
- Call on some ss to report their finding before class.
- Correct Ss’ mistakes if any.
II. Listening: (15’)
1. Pre – listening:
- Introduce the scene and some new words: pulp (n), vat
(n), roll (n), convey (n).
- Ask Ss to read the sentences and guess the missing
words.
- Get feedback and write on the board.
2. While - listening:
- Play the tape for Ss to listen and check their predictions.
- Get feedback and play the tape again for them to check
their answer.
- Give correct answer.
* Answer:

3. Post – Listening:
- Ask Ss to listen to the text again and order the
sentences.
- Check the answer with class.
