II. WHILE-STAGE:
1. Comprehension questions. (7’)
- Writes the questions on the board &
asks Ss to read the dialogue again to
answer.
Questions and answers:
1, What does Mrs. Vui have to do after
work?
- She has to go and visit her Grandma.
2, What does Nam have to do?
- He has to cook dinner, go to the market
and buy some fish and vegetables
- Gets feedback.
- Asks the whole to check.
- Invites Ss to ask and answer before
class.
III. POST-STAGE: Model sentences
(10’)
- Asks Ss to pick out the modals in the
text and checks the use, form & meaning.
* Model sentences:
- What does Mrs. Vui have to do after
work?
- She has to go and visit her mother.
* Notes:
- We can use “Have to” as the below
model
Ex: She has not to stay at home
- We use “Have to” for the subjective
obligation and “Must” for the objective
one.
- Read & then write the words on the
board
- Listen to the tape.
- Play the role as Nam and Mrs. Vui.
- Practise the dialogue orally.
- Read the dialogue again and share
their ideas in pairs to answer them.
- Speak out their answers and then
check them with teacher.
- Ask and answer the questions in pairs.
- Give their ideas: When we talk about
the obligation, we use:

(-) S + don/t/doesn/t have to + bare-inf.
