I. OBJECTIVES:

practise further in simple present, simple past tense.
2. Knowlege:
* Grammar: simple present, simple past tense.
3. Skills: Speaking, Reading and Writing.

2. Students: simple present, simple past tense.
III. PROCEDURES:
1. Warm-up: Gap filling
- T asks Ss go to the board to use the given words to complete the
sentence then elicits the tenses from Ss.
I often ……………(walk) to school, but yesterday I …………(go) to school
by bike.
2. New lesson:

I. Revision:
1. Present simple tense
- Gives out examples and asks Ss to retell
the use and form and the signs to
recognize present simple tense.
Examples:
+ I often walk to school.
+ She plays tennis every day.
+ The sun rises in the east.
- Asks them to give some more examples.
- Consolidates the knowlegde.
2. Past simple tense:
- Asks Ss to look at the examples and
elicits the use and form of simple past
tense.
Ex: Yesterday, Mai visited me.
We went to Ha Noi last month.
I was ill last week.
- Asks Ss to give some more examples.
- Consolidate the knowledge.
- Answer T’s questions:
* Use: To express repeated actions,
habits in present, general truths.
* Form:
(+) S + V(inf)/ V-s/es + O + A.
(-) S + don’t/ doesn’t + V(inf) + O + A.
(?) Do/ Does + S + V(inf) + O + A?

* Signs: + Adverbs of frequency.
